it was originally a purple bodice and skirt that she wore to her high school ball.

I added white organza over the purple.

The skirt overlay is open in the front with a couple of ruches which help reveal more purple underneath, and complement the ruching on the bodice. the skirt was finished by adding purple and white trim to the hem and flowers at the hip.

the bodice height was extended by adding purple and white lace trim a couple of inches above the top edge, and then continued around the rest of the bodice. white organza overlay, ruched open to show the detail underneath. white lacing over purple finishes the back.
